National Techies Day!
News of the Day:
+ Angelina Jolie has hired Judy Smith to handle her divorce from Brad Pitt. The crisis manager directly inspired Olivia Pope, the lead character in Shonda Rhimes' hit television series Scandal. Safe to say that Jolie is definitely in good hands.
+ FX is developing Samantha Irby's Meaty, a "female-centric" comedy series based on her memoir B**ches Gotta Eat. The show follows Irby as she deals with "failed relationships, taco feasts, her struggles with Crohn’s disease, poverty, blackness, and body image." Jessi Klein is a head writer for the program and Abbi Jacobson is one of the co-creators and stars.
+ Solange Knowles' newly released A Seat at the Table LP is already the number one album on iTunes.
+ Kith has teamed up with Cap'n Crunch for a special Kith Treats collaboration called Cap'n Kith. The Snarkitecture-designed pop-up shops will be located in New York and Miami with 500 limited-edition, custom supermarket-sized boxes of the cereal. Mark your calendar for October 8.
+ Watch Bon Iver's lyric video for "29 #Strafford APTS." The trippy visual was created, produced, and directed by Aaron Anderson and Eric Timothy Carlson.
