everything you need to have an awesome day.
The Look: Adidas Originals x Opening Ceremony
Anyone who knows me knows that I'm obsessed with football--like, annoyingly so (just ask my co-workers, who have to put up with five months of me chattering away about how my favorite team is doing). Which means that, with Super Bowl XLVIII behind us, we're officially in the offseason. So the launch timing of the new Adidas Originals x Opening Ceremony collab couldn't be more perfect. The latest collection is inspired by baseball--that other sport that kicks off come spring. Though I'm hardly a fan of America's favorite pastime, I do approve the pinstriped maxis, baseball stitching-inspired skirts, and old-school leather shorts that are featured heavily in the line. So much so that I can't wait for my order to arrive; today I'm pulling on my favorite Petit Bateau gray sweatshirt, American Eagle varsity jacket, and Levi's 501's--cuffed, natch--for an equally all-American look.
The Face: Olay Fresh Effects Dew Over
I'm so not that girl who goes to the gym with a full face of makeup on, but I'm not gonna lie: Sometimes I'm running straight from the office to yoga class, with hardly a minute to spare. And in moments like those, I'm glad that super-lightweight, gel-based moisturizers are having a moment. Because in winter, it makes it easy to feel like my skin is being moisturized without worrying that my pores are going to get clogged the moment I start sweating. Although a few beauty brands have these hydrating--but not heavy--moisturizers coming out later this year, you can pick up this new one from Olay Fresh Effects right now. Bonus points for the lovely honeysuckle and white tea scent.
The Inspiration: A League Of Their Own
If there's any movie that could get me excited about baseball after a long football season, it's this one. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll have "Victory Song" stuck in your head all night. Batter up, hear that call....
The News: Iggy Azalea teams up with Charli XCX
Not only did The New Classic get a release date, but we just got word that Azalea's collaborating with Charli XCX! April 14 can't come soon enough.
The Song: Grimes - "Oblivion"
One of my all-time favorite videos shot, in part, at a...you guessed it, college football game. In case you were wondering, that locker scene was staged.
