Here’s Your First Glimpse Of Emma Watson In ‘Beauty And The Beast’

From Hermione To Belle

When we first heard about Emma Watson being cast as Belle in the Beauty and the Beast live-action remake, we felt like the stars had finally aligned. I mean, who better to play the part of our favorite bookworm than the UN Women's Goodwill Ambassador? Today, Disney gave us a glimpse of what's to come in the form of a teaser trailer. Even though it's short, this preview has us even more excited about the Bill Condon-directed film now.

For the most part, you only hear the theme song playing extra slowly as we enter the castle, but Watson arrives toward the end. Obviously, that's not enough to keep us content—we want more! Alas, we will have to be patient, as the movie does not release for another 10 months. Other key parts include Dan Stevens as Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Josh Gad as Le Fou, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, Stanley Tucci as Cadenza, Kevin Kline as Maurice, and Audra McDonald as Garderobe.

Beauty and the Beast is expected to premiere on March 17, 2017. Be our guest and watch the entire teaser clip, above.
