face off: dry shampoo

for when you’re too lazy to wash with water.

by liza darwin

There are plenty of lazy beauty secret weapons (multitasking moisturizers and using your lipstick as a blush in a pinch come to mind...), but none of these are quite as lazy as dry shampoo. But that's not a bad thing! In fact, it's pretty awesome.

Especially on the days when you're just too tired/hungover/aren't into the idea of dunking your head in H20--hey, it happens!--these powders and sprays are basically the best to ever happen to your hair. They sap up all the oil, they make your hair smell fresh, and they inject major volume so nobody has to know that you're skipping out. Since there are so many options to choose from, we've sorted through them all to find the ones that give you the biggest bang for your buck...and your individual hair type.

So while ditching showers all together definitely isn't recommended, for the days when you just can't wash your strands with water, check out our faves below.
