Watch Beyoncé Dedicate “Halo” To The Families Of The Orlando Victims

“This next song is about love”

In the immediate aftermath of the massacre in Orlando, Florida, Beyoncé took to Instagram to offer her support for the victims and their families. "Condolences and prayers to Orlando," she wrote above a photo of flowers arranged in a peace sign. But last night, during the Detroit stop on her Formation tour, Beyoncé dedicated "Halo," the final song of her show, to the families of the victims.

“This next song is about love,” she told everyone in attendance. “And I’d like to dedicate it to all the family members of those who lost their lives in Florida.” And although it wasn't explicitly said, the song was also dedicated to the family of Christina Grimmie, who lost their daughter in a horrific shooting just days before the nightclub attack. Beyoncé joined fellow megastar Adele, who teared up while acknowledging the victims at a recent show in Antwerp, Belgium. The Dixie Chicks also honored the victims of the attack with a cover of Ben Harper's "Better Way" at a recent show at Madison Square Garden. Watch the fan-shot video of Beyoncé's dedication, below.
