Blank NYC creates great denim classics with a twist, and we've got the scoop about their new, rad Spring'14 collection! Read on to find out what the brand has to say about their newest offering, their muse, and the design process. And don't forget to check out all the denim awesomeness in the slideshow!

We love the easy edginess of this season. What was the inspiration for this collection?

BNYC: For spring '14 we looked to '70s color blocking of denim blues, and we updated traditional denim with Tokyo workwear zipper treatments infused with retro royal tones of blue for authenticity. This season ultra washed denim weaves and raw hem finishes are a must.

How does the design team at Blank come up with cool and engaging products every season?

BNYC: We're always trying to reinvent the basics and come up with something fresh and exciting, but also keeping in line with the brand's aesthetic. We spend a lot of time having fun cutting things up and playing with dyes and trims.

Who is the quintessential Blank NYC girl?

BNYC: We like to think that the girls who wear Blank are freethinking and independent, but above all, we hope they have a good sense of humor, because we do!
