The ‘Broad City’ Girls Are Here To Provide Some Inauguration Comedic Relief

Today is weird. Reality star Donald Trump is being sworn in as the 45^th President of the United States. Kellyanne Conway wore an outfit straight out of "Hamilton." And hundreds of thousands of women are standing by in the wings to protest the very man set to be our leader in chief. Tense might be a more appropriate word.

Shia LaBeouf might’ve channeled his feelings through art, but leave it to Broad City’s Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson to provide some much-needed comedic relief. In the short clip, the duo is preparing for Tr**p’s swearing in (lots of curses are exchanged, but Trump’s name is the only one that gets bleeped out). Abbi is stuck in an elevator, Ilana appears to be in a safe house (though it’s apparently her apartment) and both are terrified of the inauguration and what they assume will be a raging apocalypse to follow (“It’s about to get I Am Legend up in here,” Ilana says). Same.

We can’t stop the inevitable, though, so take a cue from the Broad City ladies and grab your mace, a butterfly knife, and maybe even consider a freshly-lasered mustache. These next four years are bound to be a doozy.
