Calvin Harris Has A Strange Ticket Policy That’s Either Beneficial Or Harmful For Women

We’re confused

Calvin Harris has caused quite the stir with a new ticket sales policy for his upcoming show at Omnia in Las Vegas. Men will be required to pay $75 to watch Harris DJ while women will only pay $40. As for the VIP bar card package, men will be charged $150, while women will only have to pay $115. Meanwhile, a weekend package that includes tickets to see Tiësto at Hakkasan will cost $100 for men and just $55 for women.

Harris has not specified why women are getting a discount, but some have speculated that it's the promoter’s way of convincing more women to attend their party, which in turn makes it more appealing for men to attend as well. Yuck.

TicketDriver.com, the company selling the tickets, explains that the difference in price is that so tickets can't be easily transferred. We're not exactly sure what that means, but a statement on the site explains that "In order to benefit from our flexible check-in and transfer policy, MALE and FEMALE tickets have to be purchased separately for the same per ticket service fee."

Does that mean the arrangement is sexist or is it feminist? Hopefully, Harris' girlfriend, Taylor Swift, will help explain it all on her next album.
