the french fashion house goes west.

When Chanel throws a party, the French fashion house goes big (see also: the recent Métiers d’Art Paris-Dallas launch in Texas). Last night marked the opening of Chanel’s first ephemeral boutique in Aspen, Colorado, and obviously it was a Thursday to remember.

The evening was hosted by Chanel Inc. Fashion Division President Barbara Cirkva, who kicked off evening with cocktails at the boutique’s second floor, followed by dinner downstairs at Casa Tua. And with guests like Jen Brill, Tennessee Thomas, Laura Love, Atlanta de Cadenet Taylor, Harley Viera Newton, and Leigh Lezark--all in Chanel, duh--the event read like a who's who list of NYLON faves.

The location is fitting, since the boutique is Wild West-themed, following in line with Karl Lagerfeld's Métiers d’Art Paris-Dallas collection. The boutique resembles a contemporary saloon, with cocktail dresses, suit jackets, knits, capes and ponchos, giving the classic cowboy wardrobe a luxe update.

The boutique opens to the public June 27, and will run until July 6, so make sure to stop by if you’re in the area! In the meantime, click through the gallery here and let us know whose outfit you want to steal.
