CHVRCHES Debut A Glittery New Song “Warning Call”

Listen to “Warning Call” here

After last year's outstanding fall and winter music releases, the bar for 2016's music trajectory was set high. The drops from Rihanna, Kanye West, Beyoncé, and Drake, however, met the bar and pushed it even higher. Now, CHVRCHES is here to launch it to the top.

Today, CHVRCHES quietly debuted yet another outstanding track. It's called "Warning Call" and it's the perfect follow-up to their stellar sophomore album, Every Open Eye. It's not a bonus track, though. It's lifted off of the "Mirror’s Edge Catalyst" video game soundtrack. A press release announced that Lauren Mayberry wrote the song from the perspective of the game's protagonist, Faith, "a daring Runner who uncovers a hidden truth within the walls of the city of Glass." Of course, each listener will project some aspect of themselves onto the track and find something personal glittering in the song's grounded-but-ambient atmosphere. Wherever it takes you, it's going to be wonderful because the song is wonderful. CHVRCHES, man. They're doing something special.
