Feminine and tough might seem like complete antonyms, but Lynn Kim Do manages to embody both in her personal style. Her blog, Neckbreakin’ Style, provides us with our weekly dose of style inspiration with a firsthand story and fashion shoot within every post.
After coining the term “Neckbreakin’ style” to describe spectators breaking their necks to watch you fiercely strut down the street, Do has become a style mainstay with her “meld of girl and boyish charm.” She complements sexy, ultra-feminine tops with boyfriend jeans and pale pinks with baggy shapes. Every outfit she curates falls under her aesthetic and epitomizes streetwear.
Do visited our NYLON headquarters where she styled three summer looks straight from NYLONshop, with a heavy focus on looking badass in a crop top. Meshing together just the right amount of edge with formfitting shapes, Do channeled a tough-girl vibe that no one would dare to mess with.
For her first look, she took our Hot As Hell off-the-shoulder crop and paired it unexpectedly with skinny sweatpants and mules, completing the ensemble with the Chi Flo bomber jacket for that extra bit of sass; for the second one, she modernized summer whites with a dash of denim; she finished off the final look with a sports bra fit for a night out.
