31 Days Of DIY Denim: Day 9, Shoelaces

Check out today’s project

by Nicole Draga

NYLON staffers created unique, DIY projects using denim in honor of our annual Denim Issue. Check back here every day of August to see a new project.

What you’ll need:

Old shoelaces

Tape

Denim fabric

Scissors

Hot glue

Sneakers

Directions:

Step 1: Tape your old shoelaces to the denim to use to measure length and width.

Step 2: Cut two pieces of denim that match the size of your laces.

Step 3: Twist the ends to make a point and use the hot glue gun to ensure the point stays.

Step 4: Using the pointy ends, lace up your sneakers.
