echosmith’s sydney sierota shares her on-tour skin secrets

+ check out her beauty regimen

Cali-bred indie pop band Echosmith is currently in the midst of a nationwide tour alongside American Authors and will share the stage with techno princess Madi Diaz later this year--so we’re beyond stoked right now. The sibling group has come a long away and are ready to show off their own original material and some awesome covers (remember that “I Will Wait” Mumford & Sons cover they did? Amazing!). The icing on top? Their super stylish and lovely lead singer Sydney Sierota is letting us in on her on-stage beauty looks, plus her off-stage skin care regimen for keeping the on-the-road fatigue from showing. Three different dates, three different how-tos. Thanks, Syd!

Check out our gallery of the singer in action...and check tour dates to see the band in action too! Plus, stay tuned for more beauty updates from Sydney while she takes on her U.S. tour.

Traveling in airplanes and through different environments dries out my skin so I use an avocado and honey face mask that soothes, smooths, and hydrates.

Avocado is anti-inflammatory and moisturizing and the honey helps seal in the moisture...it also works as a hair mask too!

Sliced cucumbers work great to reduce puffiness from traveling and lack of sleep.

To remove my make up while on the road, I use Aveeno Ultra Calming Wipes. They're quick, easy, and gentle on my skin.

"I have discovered that the key to healthy skin is to be mindful of what I put in my body. Juices and smoothies are great meal replacers and ways to get all the nutrients our body needs. Today I'm drinking a juice from Foodoo in Kansas City, MO that consists of: beets, kale, apple cider vinegar. Beets are high in iron and sustain energy. Kale has a lot of Vitamin A, giving you healthy skin and vision. Apple cider vinegar helps cleanse your skin from the inside out"

Look #1: The Echosmith San Diego Show:

“I wanted to bring more of a dressed up look to this amazing laid back town," says Sydney. "I love this new brown eyeshadow I discovered in New York, so I smudged it on my upper and lower lids and finished with a lot of black mascara. I love the subtleness of the lip color too.”

Playing up those naturally gorgeous features really compliments a bold rocker look. We’re talking leather and nude, people. Ugh, Sydney gets us so hard.

Look #2: The Echosmith Show at Club Nokia in Los Angeles

"First off, I apply my favorite moisturizers: Aveeno and Embryolisse. The Aveeno reduces redness and the Embryolisse smoothes out my skin, making it ready to apply all my makeup. Next, I put a little bit of Urban Decay Primer Potion on my eyelids. I apply a few eyeshadows from MAC (Brule, Wedge, and Antiqued) to create a bronzey, smokey look. After blending all the shadows, I use MAC's Costa Riche Eye Kohl on both my upper and lower lids and smudge it with a small brush. I add mascara, and some black liner to my waterline. After I finish my eyes, I use Makeup Forever HD Foundation to even out my skin. For blush, I use Nars blush in Gaiety. For the last finishing touches, I fill in my eyebrows with Mac shadow in Wedge to make them darker and give them more presence. I then use MAC powder to control shine. Lastly, I use mostly MAC lipsticks in Pure Zen, Candy Yum-Yum, and Vegas Volt. For touch up, I bring my powder, lipstick, and black liner to fill in my waterline as the day goes on."
