why we should all be legally blonde.

As a brunette born in New Jersey, you'd think I'd have very little in common with the bubbly protagonist of Legally Blonde, Elle Woods. But ever since I saw the film when it came out in 2001, I've been hooked on the Woods way of life.
Sure, she might not be the most practical girl, but she was always the smartest, savviest, and most confident, all traits that I admire in women, whether they are fictional like Woods or real like Hilary Clinton. Oh, and she has an incredible fashion sense. I'll never forget the silk satin robe and tortoiseshell glasses she wears on the first day of Harvard Law School or the pink wrap dress she sports in court.
So in honor of the film's thirtheenth anniversary of being released, here's what a modern girl, blonde or otherwise, needs to channel their inner Woods. And remember, whoever told Cameron Diaz that orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed.
