Last year, The Walking Dead fans were outraged when Beth Greene was killed off of AMC's hit show. In the months since, they've launched a massive petition and social media campaign to convince the network and writers to bring Greene back. But—and here's the "but"—there seems to be a silver lining to it all, as the actress behind Greene, Emily Kinney, has focused her time and efforts on her other passion: music.

In anticipation of her debut full-length album, Kinney—who got her start on Broadway in Spring Awakening—is sharing the video for the LP's titular track, folk-pop melody "This Is War." Produced by Caleb Shreve, the song explores the competitive relationship between two artists. Masking lyrics like "And I know that you think you're a much better writer / And that might be true, but what I've got on you is I'm a fighter / This is war" in an upbeat tempo, it's clear that Kinney isn't your typical musician-slash-singer—she's one to actually pay attention to.
