The beauty world is in the midst of a Sesame Street moment--and it's your skin that's getting all of the benefits. First we had BB creams, which tackles both acne and coverage needs. Now? CC creams--that stands for color correcting--which targets blotchy skin and uneven tones rather than pimples.

The multi-tasker is everywhere this summer, so we tested out our three favorites to give you a rundown on what each one does--and how it will change your beauty routine. Check them out, and then start placing your guesses for what DD creams will do (because it's inevitable, right?).

The Product: Almay Smart Shade CC Cream Complexion Corrector - $9.99
The Promise: One product to boost everything from dull skin to discoloration.
The Result: A super-moisturizing formula that made our skin glow--and replaced both our primer, foundation, and moisturizer in one step (there's also SPF 35 in there, to boot). Bonus points for being oil and fragrance free--not to mention hypoallergenic and derm-tested.
Use It: If you've got sensitive skin--or hate rushing in the morning.

The Product: Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream - $42
The Promise: A multi-benefit cream that corrects your complex while enhancing the natural radiance of your skin.
The Result: Get ready for your Instagram close-up, as this formula from the photo pros at Smashbox made sure that the end result is flawless, thanks to its unique C-Phyte+ Complex (basically, there's loads of Vitamin C and E), alongside apple and cucumber extracts. But perhaps most important? It has SPF 30 in it, to ensure the prevention of dark spots in the future.
Use It: If you'll be taking lots of selfless by the pool this summer.

The Product: Ole Henriksen Perfect Truth CC Eye Creme - $26
The Promise: Light-reflecting pigments to cover up blah skin--and boost the super-sensitive skin under eyes.
The Result: If you're guilty of not getting enough sleep (cough, too much partying, cough) this CC cream is like a godsend; it brightens under eyes to make them appear less dark, but also works to improve the skin around it with the help of Vitamin C, green tea extract, Tripeptide-5 collagen, and powerful antioxidant ferulic acid.
Use It: If you're a night owl or a party girl, but still have to go to work every day at 10.
