The New 'Fantastic Beasts' Sneak Peek Rekindles That 'Harry Potter' Magic

While it's pretty clear that we're never going to get another chapter in the Harry Potter saga, J.K. Rowling isn't ready to leave that universe behind just yet. In the brand new featurette for Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, we see a world that is very much in the realm of Potter, and why wouldn't it be? Rowling wrote the script herself, about Newt Scamander, a magizoologist who visits New York circa 1920 with a suitcase filled with you guessed it, fantastic beasts. At some point that suitcase opens, and hijinks ensue.

Eddie Redmayne stars as Scamander, and he'll be joined by an impressive cast that includes Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, and Colin Farrell. Harry Potter veteran David Yates directs what's looking more and more like a film that might challenge Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and Captain America: Civil War for box office supremacy. It's time to rejoice, movie fans. This is going to be one helluva year.

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them hits theaters November 18. Watch the tantalizing sneak peek above.
