From the moment we first spotted Papershelf's collection of intricately crafted fake lashes, we (literally) fell in love at first sight with these delicate designs. (See them here.) But while the U.K. brand may not call itself a beauty company (it's actually an art collective), more and more self-proclaimed makeup brands are joining in on the trend.

Next up is Shu Uemura, who has taken Papershelf's creative inspiration and injected it with a heavy dose of color. In a nod to eclectic artistic handcrafts sold around the world, the line's new Tokyo Lash Bar selection includes faux peepers stamped with patchwork prints, adorned with bon bons and even threaded with tiny beads.

Retailing for $22 to $65, we can see how these statement styles might be a little too over-the-top (and pricey) for everyday.

But hey, Halloween is just around the corner....
