five questions with darri ingolfsson

Iceland’s Gosling…

by Josh Madden

We recently caught up with Darri Ingofsson to ask him our five questions. You might recognize this guy as the TV series Last Resort's Robert Mitchell but this August we'll be seeing him in quite a different role on Dexter. The Iceland native is fast rising through the hollywood ranks since first making a small appearance in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. We're excited to see this dude in the new season of Dexter and look forward to seeing a lot more from him as he has projects lined up well into 2014. Check out his five questions answers below.

What was your favorite cartoon/TV show as a kid?So many come to mind! The first cartoon would be He-man. TV was everything from Hercule Poirot to Quantum Leap to Miami Vice. One that really stuck in my mind was a very surreal French cartoon called Clementine... trippy!

What was your favorite cereal?Trix was banned in Iceland due to the food colorings it contained so of course it was always exciting to have some when visiting the US.

What was the first record you bought?I think the first ones that I actually bought myself were Guns and Roses, Appetite for Destruction and Metallica's ...And Justice for All.

What was the first live show/concert you went to?I remember tracking across a lava field that separated my town from the next at 14 to go see Prodigy. What posters were hanging on your bedroom wall in High School?I always liked movie posters. I had Jimmy Hendrix up for quite a while. But always liked this one I bought in the states when I was around 15. It was a silhouette of a soldier being shot down in Vietnam and it just had "Why?" written on it.
