We love it when Florence Welch gets big, bold, and loud and her Machine backs her up with a wall of sound. But, sometimes, we’re reminded that it’s the band’s quiet moments that can stun us the most.
One of those moments came last night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert when Welch and company queued up a version of “What Kind of Man” that was spare, relatively subdued, and absolutely brilliant. Watching it, we had all the emotions. We’re betting you will, too.
