Frances Bean Cobain Covers Jimmy Eat World For Her Musical Debut

“Little girl, you’re in the middle of the ride”

Jimmy Eat World's "The Middle" is iconic. It packs a naughties nostalgic punch while its existential crisis themes remain timeless. Taylor Swift used it to help promote Apple Music and now Frances Bean Cobain is keeping the magic alive.

Dressed in a Fred Flinstone outfit, Cobain shared a short acoustic clip of her singing "The Middle." Some believe this to be the first-ever musical recording Cobain has released publicly. Her mom, Courtney Love, reposted Cobain's Instagram video, saying how much she loved her. "I know your father is very proud of this as am I baby," Love captioned. "I love you to the moon and back." Though the clip is only four sweet seconds, it's enough insight to the musical talent bubbling up within Cobain. Perhaps the cover is a sign of more things to come. Like the song says, "it just takes some time" to get out of the middle of the ride... whatever that ride may be. Watch the clip below.
