Gigi Hadid Slays ‘Lip Sync Battle’ With Actual Backstreet Boys

all you people can’t you see, can’t you see, how gigi’s affecting our reality

Earlier in the week, we were

giddy to see a preview

for this week's

Lip Sync Battle

that featured Tyler Posey ... but also, Gigi Hadid performing to the Backstreet Boys' "Larger Than Life," with

actual

Backstreet Boys Nick Carter and A.J. McLean. It's always a mic drop when

LSB

competitors bring original performers of the songs they're paying homage to, and Gigi was so nice, she did it twice.

Okay, but before we continue down the rabbit hole of boy band heartthrob nostalgia and forget about the entire episode, let's give a quick recap. Round one saw

Teen Wolf

star Posey break out with Harvey Danger's "Flagpole Sitta," while Gigi fought back with indie favorite "That's Not My Name," by the Ting Tings. All was as expected and, if we're honest, a little blasé, until Gigi found the fire in her belly, marched over to Posey and

smacked him in the face

. Unfortunately, that particular performance has not surfaced but behold a GIF below to immortalize the moment in all its glory.

The real fun (as it usually does) came in the round two. Posey brought us straight to the '80s in a performance of A-Ha's "Take On Me" that mimicked the black-and-white sketch visuals of the original music video. We give him a pat on the head for his efforts, but given the preview leaked earlier this week, it was obvious that Gigi was already set to grab the coveted belt. We could even say she ... had it in the bag ... as OG Backstreet Boys Nick Carter and A.J. McLean popped out of suitcases in the middle of her flashy, catsuit-laden performance. Bravissima. Watch round two for yourself above, and see Gigi claim what's rightfully hers.
