Way back in winter, we contemplated the new midi skirt that had invaded stores like Urban Outfitters and runways of designers like Richard Chai and Alexander Wang. Halfway between the knee-length pencil style and the maxi, this not-too-long and not-too-short length is the perfect option for fashion non-committals.
And although it may not be the most flattering style and the super-snug fit can make it difficult to pull off, the midi isn't going anywhere.
Everyone from Marc Jacobs to Miu Miu have transformed the trend into dress form for summer. With a looser cut and a breezy silhouette, it's definitely more wearable than before (not to mention, it's modest-and cute- enough to wear literally everywhere).
