Now in the final throes of the French Open, tennis season is reaching its sweaty highpoint. With that in mind, the first trailer for HBO’s tennis mockumentary 7 Days in Hell hits the court with perfect timing.
So far, it looks like a “30 for 30”-style retrospective glance at a grueling, epic, and totally fictional seven-day long match between Andy Samburg’s ridiculous Andre Agassi clone (note the amazing hair) and Kit Harrington’s possible Roger Federer/Andy Murray clone (note the also amazing hair). On top of featuring tennis legends Serena Williams, John McEnroe, and Chris Evert, 7 Days also stars Lena Dunham, Will Forte, Karen Gillan, Fred Armisen, and, mysteriously, David Copperfield.Honestly, we’re more excited for this than we are for the actual Wimbledon.
7 Days in Hell hits HBO on July 11, the same day as the women’s finals (of course).
