No Joke, The New Trailer For HBO’s ‘Vinyl’ Left Us Shaking

if this doesn’t get your heart rate up, nothing will.

If HBO’s ‘70s music-industry drama Vinyl is anything, anything like this new trailer, then we are all in for something very special. Already, we’ve seen the first preview for the series debuting in 2016. It was solid. The one embedded above, though, is absolutely engrossing.

Again, Vinyl is pure sex, drugs, and rock 'n’ roll centered around Bobby Canavale as a manic record executive who’s as loud and wild as the artists he promotes. As you can see, Olivia Wilde, Juno Temple, and Ray Romano (yep), are there as the punk era rises in grimy, glorious old New York.

Created by Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire producer Terence Winter and backed by Mic Jagger and Martin Scorsese, it certainly has the executive pedigree you’d want from a premium-cable show about music. We’ll just have to wait until Valentine’s Day, 2016.
