Hilary Duff has dropped a new song, and we're not going to lie—it's pretty good. While "Chasing the Sun" may have been a confusing time for everyone, her last song, "Sparks," was certainly catchier, edgier, and something we could totally get behind. Luckily, her newest release, "Outlaw," is as well.
Duff is clearly moving in the right direction with her music. Her newest album, Breathe In. Breathe Out., which dropped on June 12 is a more grown-up version of the pop music Duff had made in the past. With rock and electro-pop influences, her latest songs prove that Duff still has a place in the music world. She is also collaborating with major artists like Tove Lo and Ed Sheeran, who are both wildly talented and vastly different in their sound. While Metamorphosis was a great time, she is clearly looking ahead to create newer, more mature sounds. Lizzie would be proud.
