polaroid’s famous fans go behind the camera.

Considering Polaroid is currently being hawked by Lady Gaga and its images are the inspiration behind apps like Hipstamatic and Poladroid, it doesn't take a genius to see the retro-perfect brand has undergone a major digital makeover.

And now the cult favorite has a new incarnation, the GL10 from Gaga's Grey Line. It's a printer that transforms your phone pictures and digital camera photos into authentic Polaroid prints, and to celebrate the product's launch, 50 famous fans have taken a shot- literally- at capturing their most memorable moments.

Cynthia Rowley, James Franco, Patrick Demarchelier, as well as artists like Chase Jarvis and David Kinsey, will showcase their works next week at the Made in Polaroid Exhibit in NYC.

If you're around, you can check out the images in person, see if James Franco really is the artiste he seems to be, and even buy the pictures at the auction. But even non-NYC locals can join the clique (er, click?). Pre-order the printer here, and start making some new Polaroid magic of your own.
