This New James Blake Track Is The Best Song Of The Week

Some might say it’s “Timeless”

When it comes to James Blake, you can always count on him to release new music when you least expect it. The buildup for Blake's forthcoming third album, Radio Silence, has been two years in the making, and all his teasing has paid off because we are still willing to wait more.

Last night, he surprised listeners as a guest host on BBC Radio 1, where he announced that the long-awaited record in the works is complete at last. Apparently, the album contains 18 tracks, one of which runs 20 minutes long. Blake also shared some new material from the album. The track is called "Timeless," and it's a smooth synth song that will mute your senses for a solid four minutes. When he sings, "You know you slide out when you slide in," electric shivers will tickle your spine.

The release date for Radio Silence has yet to be revealed. For now, at least we have another new cut from the record to keep us content. Stream the song, below.
