J. Papa’s Spring Collection Is An It Girl’s Dream

Check out the Brooklyn label’s latest, now available at NYLONshop

by katherine martinez

In the age of fast fashion retailers and mass-produced streetwear being pawned in "curated" pop-ups, it’s pretty reassuring to know that the tag "Handmade in Brooklyn" still exists. Contemporary label J. Papa is leading the change with its latest spring collection, complete with a new campaign shot in its hometown streets of Chinatown. The line combines out-there fabrics with oversized silhouettes for a distinctively modern look and feel. Our favorite? The deconstructed and fresh update of the classic pinstripe trouser.

Styled by our resident NYLON senior fashion market editor Marissa Smith, the lookbook features her signature high-meets-low aesthetic. Adidas slides with a bright linen maxi? Yes, please. Pairing a metallic gold two-piece with a bandana choker gives an otherwise dressed-up set a downtown cool edge. We're fairly certain the J. Papa girl has never woken up not knowing what to wear, and, to be honest, we're super jealous.

Click through the gallery below to see more from the shoot, and be sure to check out NYLONshop to shop the looks for yourself.
