Lady Gaga + Mark Ronson Covered The Talking Heads At A Met Gala After-party

Burning down the house

The footage and photos from the litany of Met Gala after-parties continue to flood the Internet, and let's just that the FOMO is very, very real. Whether it was hitting the dance floor with Taylor Swift and Lupita Nyong'o, or draining cocktails with Kim and Kanye, Hollywood came out in full force last night to celebrate fashion's biggest night.

But, if we had to pick just one moment from last night to magically teleport ourselves to, it would have to be Lady Gaga and Mark Ronson's impromptu concert at Apple Music's post-gala bash, held at The Standard hotel's ultra-luxe, ultra-exclusive Boom Boom Room.

Gaga, who had already turned heads on the red carpet in a stunning laser-cut Versace one-piece and platform heels that seemed to stretch all the way to the heavens, sent the star-studded crowd into a frenzy when she launched into a cover of Talking Heads' 1983 dance floor stomper "Burning Down the House."

By that point of the night, Gaga had already stepped into something a little more comfortable, sporting a blazer and a tee, perfect for slashing a guitar like she had been transported back to CBGB's heyday.

Gaga has become one of our most reliable cover artists as of late, thanks to her sublime work with Tony Bennett and the recent David Bowie tribute she performed at this year's Grammys.

Once again, she proved that there ain’t no cover like a Lady Gaga cover. Watch the video, shared by Gaga herself, below.
