The Dixie Chicks’ Cover Of Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games” Is Legit

texas-sized ldr.

Now, we know some of you readers belonging to the cult of LDR are going to look at this whole thing as a bit of heresy, but, open your ears, please. This Dixie Chicks cover of Lana Del Rey’s first big hit, “Video Games” is totally solid.

Coming at a benefit for Neil Young’s Bridge School—a specialized learning center for disabled children—the Chicks’ cover was heavy on harmonies, strings, and charm. Actually, it looks like we all missed a pretty good night as St. Vincent, Spoon, Gary Clark, Jr., Sheryl Crow, Ryan Adams, and Young himself. Well, at least we got this southern-fried version of one of our favorites above.

Oh, and here's the Chicks playing one of their hits with Sheryl Crow and St. Vincent of all people at the same concent. Enjoy. We did.
