MAKE ME BLUE

our diy homage to chanel’s new denim nail polishes.

by ali hoffman

Two weeks ago, we reported on Chanel joining the denim-inspired nail trend with three different blue hues.

And as we predicted, the hype for the "Les Jeans de Chanel" polishes (launching officially on Fashion's Night Out) is definitely reaching haute heights.

So just in case we can't get our own bottles next week (and because we're impatient waiting for them!), we decided to take a more proactive route. Yep, you guessed it, we put our varnish-mixing skills to the test, and made own on version of all three.

Here's how we did it:

For Blue Rebel: Mix four parts "1996" by RGB X Need Supply Co. with one drop of any opaque white lacquer (any french white tip polishes work fine).

For Coco Blue: Mix three parts Brucci Nail Hardener in "Bert's Blue" with one part Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color in " Brisk Blue"

For Blue Boy: Mix three parts of "Brisk Blue" with one drop of "1996."

And voila! You have our homage to Chanel's new colors!
