maison martin margiela teams up with converse on shoes meant to fall apart.

by bria mariette

As if the month of September couldn’t get any better, it’s time to get our minds (and our wallets) ready for another sick Converse collaboration. Fresh off their successful summer sneaker release with Comme des Garcons Play, Converse has teamed up with another iconic (and artsy) fashion brand, Maison Martin Margiela.

This collaboration features Converse’s classic Chuck Taylor All-Stars and Jack Purcells completely covered in white paint. Underneath the finished exteriors are the bold Converse colors we know and love, that will become more noticeable as the paint chips away with wear. The sneakers will be available in four hues: red, black, navy, and a special Margiela yellow.

Retailing at $200, you’ll be able to get your hands on these kicks at Converse First String retailers and Margiela stores at the end of the month!
