Everyone remembers the mystery that surrounded J.J. Abrams' Cloverfield. In 2008, a sparse trailer famously premiered in front of Michael Bay's Transformers, and left everyone wondering: what the hell is this? We soon found out it was a found footage movie about a monster attack in New York City. Now, Abrams has done it again, this time with a surprise trailer in front of Michael Bay's 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.
The movie, which stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Goodman, and John Gallagher, Jr., is called 10 Cloverfield Lane, and Abrams is calling it a "blood relative" to Cloverfield. The plot revolves around a woman (Winstead) who wakes up in a bunker and discovers she's being held by a stranger, played by Goodman. "He tells me that basically the world is over outside because there’s been a nuclear fall-out," Winstead told Collider. But as you'll see in the trailer above, she tries to escape anyway. The question then becomes, what's waiting for her outside? Found out on March 11, when 10 Cloverfield Lane hits theaters.
