what peyton list would wear to prom

take notes

When Peyton List—actress, model, cool girl—stopped by our offices recently, our first order of business was helping her figure out what to wear to Coachella.

Once we solved that, we had a really important question: If she could go to prom now, what would she wear?

Click through the gallery to check out her dream prom-dress picks.

"The racer-back detailing of this dress is the perfect mix of elegance and edge. I really love the idea of a short dress for prom! Add a little sparkle and BOOM, you’re prom-ready!"

Alice & Olivia, tevin racer back party dress, $368, available at Alice & Olivia.

"I always love a flattering all black number. Plus black always screams sophistication."

Sherri Hill, #32167, price upon request, available at Sherri Hill.

"If you’re a dancer like me, short dresses make the most sense at the prom. I like this piece because it has a pop of color for early spring and shows just the right amount of skin, and bonus, it’s affordable!"

Camille La Vie, beaded v-neck tulle party dress, $179.99, available at Camille La Vie.

"This black piece won’t break the bank! For $49.95 you can dress up this little black dress with your own accessories to customize a fabulous yet affordable prom look."

H&M, strapless dress, $49.95, available at H&M.

"The silhouette of this dress is beautiful! The movement when you’re on the dance floor must be amazing."

Alice & Olivia, lyndon belted scarf dress, $698, available at Alice & Olivia.

"Every girl deserves to feel like a princess! This dress feels like a Cinderella moment for any prom girl. The black bodice gives the Cinderella-look some edge."

Sherri Hill, #32211, price upon request, available at Sherri Hill.

"I chose this dress because it reminded me of walking the streets of New York City. It’s a black dress but the detailing says 'chic and fashion-forward" to me. Can’t go wrong with black, and add a slit in the leg to keep things edgy and fun."

BCBGMAZAZRIA, Halee sleeveless illusion neck, $338, available at Bloomingdale's.

"Two pieces are certainly trending at the moment. When exposing your midriff, make sure to do it tastefully. Cover your navel and show very little skin when rocking a two piece."

Alice & Olivia, Cohe asymmetrical long skirt, $798, available at Alice & Olivia.
