President Obama Prefers Kendrick Lamar Over Drake

Shots Fired

Barack Obama has had to make some tough decisions during his time as president, but none more difficult than the ultimatum he was given during a YouTube Q&A Friday. When host Adande Thorne asked POTUS which rapper he preferred—Kendrick Lamar or Drake—Obama didn't even flinch.

"Gotta go with Kendrick," he said. "I think Drake is an outstanding entertainer. Kendrick… his lyrics, his last album was outstanding. Best album, I think, of last year."

And just like that, the president of the United States of America picked a side in what has developed into the most hotly contested rap rivalry of our generation. Obama's response should come as no surprise, as his adoration of Lamar is hardly a secret. The Compton rapper visited The White House just last week, and Obama declared Lamar's song "How Much a Dollar Cost" his favorite of the year.

Now this is a bromance we can get behind.
