White snakes. Endless desert. Back handsprings. Platform sneakers. Hot pink dreadlocks. There's a lot to look at in the new music video forGrimes' "Genesis." But amongst all the visual eye candy (we wouldn't go so far as to call it a plot) one person still does stand out: NYLON It Girl Claire Boucher. The Canadian musician, who cited Jean Paul Gaultier, Tank Girl, and the artwork of 15th century artist and Hieronymus Bosch as inspiration for the video, works her way through it like some Lolita/ninja/Harajuku girl/ballerina/raver mash-up. Though the look is completely Grimes' own, here's our take on how to channel it. (And if you haven't yet seen the music video, you can watch it here.)
