Scarlett Johansson, the sometimes actress, sometimes singer, is finally combining her two passions into one neat little package. Billboard has learned that Scarjo will put on her director's cap for Ellie Goulding's upcoming AMEX Unstaged show, to be timed with the release of Goulding's upcoming album Delirium.
Although Johansson has limited experience behind the camera — she directed a 2009 short called These Vagabond Shoes — this latest project puts her in elite company. Previous iterations of AMEX's multimedia extravaganza have include pairings like Werner Herzog with the Killers, Terry Gilliam with Arcade Fire, and Spike Lee with Pharrell Williams, making Scarjo the first woman to tackle directing duties.
To see Johansson and Goulding cook up together, the November 11 will be livestreamed from New York City and then rebroadcast 24 hours later right here. Watch the trailer below.
