Sleigh Bells just released the third track off their still untitled fourth album to go along with the previously released songs, "Rule Number One" and "Champions of Unrestricted Beauty." It's called "Hyper Dark," a much softer offering than we're used to hearing from the typically hardcore New York duo. Singer Alexis Krauss and guitarist Derek Miller have shape-shifted a lot since coming together way back in 2009, and "Hyper Dark" is just a continuation of that evolution.
Along with the new track, Sleigh Bells also announced that they'll be bringing their hyperkinetic brand of trap metal to the road, for a slew of dates starting this fall. As for when we can expect the follow-up to 2013's Bitter Rivals, they told us late last year that it was nearing completion, but haven't provided any major updates since.
But, with a third new song about to dominate summer playlists, and an upcoming tour replete with stunning new artwork, Sleigh Bells' fourth studio album is imminent. Listen to "Hyper Dark" above and check out their just-announced tour dates below.
