The Look: Stacy Martin at the Chanel spring '14 show
A long weekend means plenty of time to do my laundry, take my dry cleaning, and plan out a great outfit to wear back to work on Tuesday. My look today is inspired by actress Stacy Martin's chic black and white ensemble at the spring '14 Chanel show. An oversized white jacket with a black minidress and ankle boots really feels like the perfect way to stay warm and still look like a boss, plus since seeing Miu Miu's spring ads starring Elizabeth Olsen, I've been obsessed with center-parted straight hair. (See also: Karlie Kloss' in the Marc Jacobs Lola ads or Freja Beha Erichsen's in the early '00s) But more on that later....

The Face: Sephora Collection Color Proof Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
I'm going to let you in on a little secret: This is the best liquid liner in the world. I promise. It might seem hyperbolic, but in my time testing out what feel like a million different brands and formulas, I haven't been able to find anything that applies so easily and stays on for hours without smudging. Perfect for copying Stacy Martin's eye makeup or pretending you're Francoise Hardy.

The News: Lorde's Younger Sister is a Singer Too
Turns out vocal prowess runs in the Yelich-O'Connor family because Lorde's younger sister, India, just posted a cover of "Say Something" by Christina Aguilera and A Great Big World to Soundcloud, and it's obviously very good. Does this mean we expect a sisters duet?

The Inspiration: Francoise Hardy
On the list of reasons I wish I was Francoise Hardy are: I wish I looked good with bangs, I wish I had a leather jacket, I wish I was alive in the '60s, and I wish I could sing.

The Song: "Fare Thee Well" -- Oscar Isaac
I may never get over the fact that Oscar Isaac, John Goodman, T. Bone Burnett, and the Coen Brothers didn't receive any Academy Award nominations for the melancholy masterpiece that is Inside Llewyn Davis. Playing this song over and over again is my coping mechanism.
