Get “Stoned” With Blondage In Their Perfect Pink World

Forever 4/20 in our hearts

Follow Blondage straight to the greenhouse and get high on love with their latest video. The up-and-coming duo (formerly known as Rangleklods) brings their synth-heavy pop all the way from Denmark. Members, Pernille Smith-Sivertsen and Esben Nørskov Andersen, changed their name, combining "blond" and "bondage" to marry "naivety and daydreaming with aggression and sensuality" and bring the fusion into their new sound.

The concept of the song was originally born out of the aftermath of a night out. "The vocals were recorded while Pernille was sitting on the floor, wrapped in blankets, just after waking up from a late night out," said Andersen. "It was like the chorus wrote itself." The two reminisce on these hazy warm memories in the accompanying video.

Blondage split away from the greenhouse in the video, only to transition into millennial pink-themed visuals and show a denim-clad girl gang—what's not to love? The creative pair directed the video themselves because their vision for it was so strong, which Andersen further elaborates on.

"We only had two fixed ideas: To eat stupid things throughout the video, like [we were] having the munchies, and to have a rad girl squad in full denim in a pink room," she says. "The pink room illustrates the sensual and dreamy side of the lyrics where a girl falls in love with another girl for the first time."
