Every year, the Teen Choice Awards are held to honor the best in music, movies, sports, television, fashion, and more—all chosen by teen viewers. Last night, hosts Victoria Justice and John Cena hyped up the audience as winners took home their exclusive Teen Choice surfboards (because who needs a shelf-size statue, anyway?).
Like at all awards shows, our focus is drawn to the red carpet before the ceremony even begins, curious as to what all of our favorite stars will be wearing. Being a teen-focused ceremony, this carpet certainly has a younger and fresher feel—making it one of the most fun of the awards show circuit.
This year, it was all about “go bold, or go home.” A number of interesting and colorful prints hit the carpet. However, Gina Rodriguez and Sofia Carson’s looks really stood out—proving that ladies in suits are totally badass. Additionally, we can personally thank Laverne Cox and Keke Palmer for proving that the ‘70s are alive and kicking.
