The News: Tennis premieres “Bad Girls” music vid

Alaina Moore and Patrick Riley, AKA Tennis, are releasing their third album, Ritual in Repeat tomorrow. Luckily they premiered this vid a few days early - and if it’s any indication, the album is going to be a lo-fi indie pop dream. Check it out and get super pumped!

The Look: Shelley Duval in Robert Altman’s, Three Women

I’ve loved Shelley Duval since I rented VHS tapes of Faerie Tale Theatre from the library as a kid. A quirky beauty (the best kind), her look is perfect in this 1977 spooky dreamscape of a film - definitely worth a watch! I’m tempted to copy her 70’s bob, throw on some bronzer, a pastel maxi dress and move to the desert.

The Face: Sonia Kashuk Brow Definer

To be honest it took me a while to come around to any type of eyebrow penciling. Thankfully I realized the value of a well defined brow—and the skill that goes into it’s subtle creation—right around the time one of my girlfriends let me use this pencil. This is one of those rare makeup purchases you will actually use until it’s gone.

The Inspiration: Artwork by Jesse Fillingham

I came across Jesse’s work browsing itsnicethat.com and FLIPPED OUT. Because it’s awesome. It’s like spooky / sci fi / salvador dali / bubble gum / stoner art. And I mean that in the best way possible.

The Song: “Paint it, Black” by the Rolling Stones

I mean, it’s a classic. I always associated this song with the fall and I’m espcially feeling the 60’s vibes this year.
