it’s here….and it looks awesome.
Talk about an intense way to start the morning--the new trailer for The Giver has landed! And even if you were unsure about how the dystopian novel would translate to the big screen, this brand new clip will definitely ease your concern.
At least judging from the sneak peek here, the plot seems to stay true to the book (thank goodness). Also, it should go without saying that the film's cast is totally A-team. Starring newcomer Brenton Thwaites as Jonas, as well as Meryl Streep, Katie Holmes, Jeff Bridges, Alexander Skarsgard, and Taylor Swift, the Hollywood adaptation is guaranteed to be a slick new take on the Lois Lowry classic.
Fingers crossed they just don't sugarcoat the dark themes too much....because in the end, that's what sets this story apart. Watch the first trailer below and tell us what you think.
