THE INSIDER: ENIKO MIHALIK

we grill our new favorite model.

Fashion Week may have ended, but that doesn't mean runway madness is over yet. Tons of major models hit the street yesterday (literally) for the Express "Rock the Sidewalk" public runway show. And despite the cold, windy weather, they still managed to make the minidresses and tiny shorts look hot. Leading the pack was Hungarian model, Eniko Mihalik, who's walked the runway for designers like Chanel and is the current face of A.P.C.'s Fall campaign.

We chatted with Eniko after the show about her favorite shopping spots, life post-modeling, and, yes, Kanye's model song.

How long have you been modeling?

I've been modeling a while, but my fourth year in New York just started.

Where do you like to shop in New York?

I'm all over the place. I really like the less inexpensive stores. They're great because for one season, you can get everything thing you need. Then afterward if you don't like it, you don't have to feel bad. I love Zara, Express, all those places; they're so cool.

And how about higher-end designers?

I really like Alexander Wang and Rag & Bone, of course. And then there are all these smaller designers whose names I don't even know, but they sell at boutiques like Intermix or Blue and Cream.

How long do you want to keep modeling?

It would be nice to be doing something else later. I don't want to be one of those people who plans on living off of this forever. But, as long as I can do it and as long as I feel like it's the thing for me right now, I'll keep doing it

Which bands are on your iPod right now?

I'm still stuck on The Prodigy, even though I know they haven't done anything in a long time. I also like Muse a lot. I went to their concert this summer and they were amazing; I think they're some of the world's best performers. Kanye West is making a new album, and the songs that I heard were really good.

Have you heard Kanye's model song, "Christian Dior Denim Flow?"

[Laughing] The model song! Yes, I have heard it. I thought it was really funny.
