Jared Leto + Thirty Seconds To Mars Go To Camp In The ‘Camp Mars: The Concert Film’ Trailer

School’s out

If you have major FOMO from missing out on this summer's Camp Mars—the three day overnight music festival launched by Jared Leto and his Thirty Seconds to Mars bandmates—you're in luck. Camera crews were on hand to capture all of the hiking, yoga, arts and crafts, and meditation that took place on the campgrounds over the course of one weekend in Malibu. Leto has taken that footage, and cut it together for Camp Mars: The Concert Film, a new documentary directed by Leto himself.

"The very first Camp Mars was pure magic," Leto says via voiceover in the film's brand new trailer. "It was insane and amazing and we knew in the first five minutes we would be doing it again. Music, art, nature, friends, food, and fun." Of course, since this is a concert film, live footage of Thirty Seconds to Mars' weekend-capping performance will anchor the film. "I know that campers have a great time out here, but Shannon, Tomo, and I have an incredible time here as well." It shows.

Since the band has plans to make Camp Mars an annual tradition, you'll have plenty of opportunities to check it out yourself. For now, a documentary will have to do. Catch Camp Mars: The Concert Film when it airs October 9 at 12pm PST on Leto's on-demand media streaming service VyRT.
