Tom Hanks + Carly Rae Jepsen Team up for ‘I really like you’ video

Justin Bieber shows up too

Carly Rae Jepsen is quickly becoming pop music's unlikliest cool kid. After enlisting some of the indie world's biggest names for her upcoming album, Jepsen has once again flexed her incredible clout by landing Captain America himself for her new video. No, not Chris Evans. We're talking about a real life superhero: The one, the only, Mr. Tom Hanks.

The two-time Oscar winner stars in the brand new clip for Jepsen's massive single "I Really Like You", in which he lip syncs the earworm through the icy streets of New York. "The song is so sweet, I wanted something that would contradict that — a little bit of comedy flare or a left turn,” the singer told TIME recently. It's a refreshing change of pace from the usual boy-meets-girl narratives that we get with most musical meet-cutes of this ilk.

According to Jepsen, we can thank her manager Scooter Braun for all the whimsy, after he personally sold Hanks on the idea over dinner. We can also thank (or blame) him for Justin Bieber, who continues his image rehabilitation tour with a very out-of-place cameo. Still, we can't complain. We really, really, really, really, really like this video.
