As Guillermo Del Toro's bananas-looking haunted house movie Crimson Peak inches closer to release, the shroud of secrecy surrounding the movie is being lifted. Case in point: the movie's latest and longest trailer, an extravagant two minutes of Jessica Chastain being creepy, Mia Wasikowska being creeped out, and Tom Hiddleston being something in between the two.
Wasikowka plays a young woman who marries Tom Hiddleston's Sir Thomas Sharpe, a mystery man who, along with his sister (Chastain), appears to be hiding some gory family secrets. Once he whisks her off to the titular gothic mansion, those secrets start to reveal themselves in the form phantasmagoric creatures that want to kill you. You know, pretty casual stuff.
Crimson Peak hits theaters on October 16.
