Watch Now: Whitney Houston Biopic Trailer

and we’re definitely having a watch party.

Not everyone's voice can give you chills like Whitney Houston's: Every time we've listened to the powerhouse diva belt her heart out, the hairs on the back of our neck stand up. And, based on the new trailer for her upcoming biopic, the film about her life looks like it'll be equally moving. Just watching the 1:01 long clip of the film about the "Greatest Love of All" singer's life, relationships, and struggle with fame, we got goosebumps not unlike first time we ever heard "I Will Always Love You."

In the film, Whitney, which will air on Lifetime on January 17 at 8 p.m., we'll see Yaya DaCosta portraying all the sides of Whitney Houston that you've ever heard about: the once-in-a-lifetime voice, the troubled celebrity, and the broken-hearted ex—complete with glamorous outfits, drugs, fancy hotel rooms, and private jets. We'll get a cinematic view into the musician's success, and maybe understand the legend that is Whitney Houston a little more than we did before—or, at the very least, celebrate her life with a few hours of best friends, tears, and champagne.
