The News: The Mad Max Trailer Is Here!

It's been 30 years since the last Mad Max film--which means just enough time has passed for Hollywood to make a revamp. Watch the newest teaser of the dystopian film Mad Max: Fury Road, starring Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron and Riley Keough here, and let us know if you think it lives up to its legacy.

The Look: Cris from Vanessa Jackman

Even though the internet is overflowing with fashion blogs these days, the OG ones still have a special place in my heart. I'm talking about The Sartorialist, Tommy Ton, All The Pretty Birds, and Vanessa Jackman. I can always count on Jackman to creep into my fashion subconscious and predict exactly how I'm doing...for instance, this voluminous dress is 100-percent perfect for Mondays. Pair it with nothing but Birks, and boom! You're out the door in five minutes.

The Face: St. Tropez Self Tanning Mousse

When it comes to pale people attempting to "tan" (i.e. get a hint of color without tons of freckles or burn), it's way harder than it looks--practically impossible. And while I recommend just owning your porcelain complexion and rolling with it, on those days when you do want a summer glow, this is where St. Tropez comes in. This quick-dry mousse goes on extremely smooth (no streaks!), looks natural, and has absolutely zero scent. Consider this your May through September secret weapon.

The Inspiration: Sonia Rykiel's Fall Campaign

No offense to Beyonce, but my dream #Iwokeuplikethis muse would definitely have to be Gisele. I mean, just look at her! So whenever you're feeling a little bit down and/or tired, just take a page from the model's new Sonia Rykiel campaign, shot by Juergan Teller: slap on some sunnies, curl up in your comfiest outfit, and crank up your favorite song. It might be Monday, but you may as own it.

The Song: "Safe Things"- Zulu Pearls

Even though it's not quite scientifically proven (yet) that a really great song will get you out of bed just as effectively as coffee, this new single from Zulu Pearls just might change that. The Berlin-by-way-of-DC band is gearing up to release a whole slew of new music, which is great news for anyone who a.) is nursing a surf-pop hole in their hearts or b.) needs a morning kick in the butt. Lucky for you, you can deal with both of those things in their latest single "Safe Things."
